Hi, I’m Wren!
I have a passion for understanding those who fear they’re beyond understanding.
I help perceptive feelers and complex thinkers untangle from the shame, self-judgment, and confusion that weigh them down and obscure their core self.
Too many of us try to force ourselves into a different shape to meet a basic human need - connection. We all need community and to feel valued, but it doesn’t have to be at the expense of the things that make you, you.
I didn’t realize that was my story until I stumbled upon a space where I fit. I felt seen by my community, and I finally learned to see myself differently.
So, I seek to connect with sensitive, intense, chronically misunderstood people, and invite them into a different relationship with themselves. If this sounds like your story, are you ready for a new chapter?
My approach to therapy
In therapy sessions, I show up for you as a real person.
Perceptive folks often have a spidey sense for authentic connection, and they can tell when someone is showing up incongruently or sending mixed signals. That doesn’t feel good for anyone! So in therapy, you get the real me.
Because this is my style, I make sure to do my own growth work so your therapy space remains YOUR space.
My nature is gentle and steady, but I also laugh, cry, joke, go down rabbit holes, and use off-the-wall analogies with my clients. We struggle with complex problems and have breakthroughs together, without having to check our quirky, imperfect selves at the door.
The nitty gritty
The core of my approach lies in:
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Attachment-based modalities
Neurodivergent-affirming perspectives
But humans aren’t formulaic, so I also pull from:
Internal Family Systems (IFS) or “parts work”
Person-centered therapy
Enneagram tools
Mindfulness
My knowledge of giftedness and 2E experiences, child development, and nervous system and brain development.
The two most important ingredients for effective therapy are:
Being ready to dig in and challenge yourself
Having a solid connection with your therapist
